The Colombian-American star made waves as she put-out genre-defying mixtapes that featured her unique takes on doo-wop, reggae and early 2000s R&B. Making music in both English and Spanish, she serves a fusion of R&B, pop, Latin and soul in her masterpieces like “Moonlight,” “Igual Que Un Ángel" (with Peso Pluma),” “After The Storm" (feat. “I’m not going to just keep making music in one language because it’s easier to sell,” Uchis shared with Billboard. “I’m going to do both because I can do both… Why would God have made me with this duality if I wasn’t meant to project it into my art and use it to inspire other people and to create with all of this that I have?”
