Capital Jazz festival 2022 celebrates 29 incredible years of bringing music lovers from around the country to Columbia, MD. The official Festival kickoff evening event on Friday, June 3rd is the Indie Soul Showcase over at the Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, Maryland, and features, non-other than, The HamilTones, Shayna Steele, Lori Williams, Regina Troupe, and Cecily. The first full day of the festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, on Saturday, June 4th, is Soulful Saturday, and features Faith Evans, Common, Cory Henry, Musiq Soulchild, Dwele, Adeline, Keyshia Cole, Deborah Cox, and Tribute to Teena Marie. Don’t forget to head on over to the Late-Night Dance Party, the Official After-Party of the 2022 Capital Jazz Fest, back at Live! Casino & Hotel and featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff & Rakim. Finally, Jazzy Sunday rolls around, back at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday June 5th, featuring superb sets from Chaka Khan, Tower of Power, Butcher Brown, Ledisi, Naturally 7, Maysa, Jeffrey Osborne, Damien Escobar, and The String Queens. In-between musical sets, enjoy the juried craft vendors at the Festival Marketplace, culinary treats at the food court, and meet & greet the artists.
